The **Building Automation Estimator** position reports to an Automation Team Leader in the National Operations Center supporting the growth and sales efficiency of the Sales Team covering the US. In this role, this individual will primarily focus on estimating, pricing, and generating proposals, which ultimately will drive growth of the business. **This is a remote position.**
As an Automation Estimator, you will:
+ Prepare and provide electrical wiring sketchesfor Solutions and Service Automation projects.
+ Work with electrical subcontractors to clarifyscope of work and accurate pricing.
+ Prepare and provide sales estimates forSolutions and Service Automation projects.
+ Learn and understand Building AutomationSystems including airside and waterside controls and be able to optimizebuilding energy efficiency through automation/controls and mechanicalsystem analysis
+ Providevalue by communicating on product, installation, and commissioning riskfactors before and during cost reviews.
+ Evaluate materialand pricing to appropriately suggest substitutions that meetspecifications
+ Interpret customer requirements ascommunicated in drawings, specifications, and customer meetings
+ Centralize estimating resources,simplifying portions of scope, and developing scope of work.
+ Align with and follow the OperationsCenter standardized structure for creating estimates.
+ Utilizeeffective communication skills to proactively interact with customers,vendors, and internal teams.

+ Coordinate theoverall estimating effort with a solution developer when assigned and alignwith local operations team during cost review and technical handovermeetings.
You will make an impact with thesequalifications:
Basic Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or state-recognized GED
+ Experience in sales, estimating, field(technician/specialist), or design engineering in direct support ofBuilding Automation Systems (HVAC):
+ Mid-Level: 3+ years
+ Demonstrated knowledge/aptitude/proficiency of thefollowing based on applicable work experience:
+ Building Automation with proven proficiencies in thecomponents of a BAS, including controllers, sensors, output devices,communications protocols, and user interface
+ HVAC and mechanical systems, smart buildings, andengineering fundamentals (e.g., sizing valves, dampers, AFMS, Meters,VFDs, etc.)
+ Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, andplumbing plans, specifications, and schematics
+ Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams,and SharePoint
+ Demonstrated ability of the following based onapplicable work experience:
+ Effectively collaborate with colleagues and work withteams cross-functionally
+ Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projectssimultaneously, manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on acontinual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience in a combination of applicableroles to include sales, estimating, field (technician/specialist), ordesign engineering in direct support of Building Automation Systems (HVAC)
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical,electrical, or similar engineering
+ Demonstrated experience using an estimating/quotingsystem
+ Experience with Bluebeam
