Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking to fill Field Service Technician
positions in the Boston, MA area. The
Field Service Technician provides engineering advice to the Amtrak maintenance
workforce in order to improve equipment reliability of the Siemens Amtrak Fleet
- ACS-64 electric locomotive fleet. This includes advice on routine
maintenance, restoration and resolution to equipment failures, semi-complex
equipment installation, and modifications and repairs. This position
will work a rotating shift = 8 weeks days, 16 weeks nights, 4 days per
week (including weekdays, weekends and holidays) but can include afternoon or
night shift based on operational needs.
What your day-to-day will look like:
+ Assistwith running maintenance on a fleet of locomotives, maintenanceinstructions from Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Assistwith unscheduled repairs on locomotives including Mechanical repairs,Electrical repairs, highly complex technical and troubleshooting repairson locomotives.
+ Followall maintenance instructions (wherever available) to adhere to andmaintain compliance and high-quality standards.
+ Developa working relationship with the Customer as an employee and representativeof Siemens Mobility.
+ Verifythat all defects, tasks, and /or incidents have been reported and detailedin (CMMS) for compliance, issue tracking, and closure.
+ Providefirst line technical assistance to operations staff for troubleshootingand repair of locomotives.
+ Maintaincompliance to all applicable safety rules, laws, and regulations.
+ Alwaysensure highest quality standards are met in accordance with Siemens RailSystems.
+ Inthe absence of Stores Keeper Controllers, perform Material transactions tosupport the fleet as needed.
+ Fostera work environment that drives a safety first zero harm culture (ZHC) andspeak up when necessary, as a stakeholder for shop and site safety foryourself and your coworkers.
+ Interactwith the leadership as needed on all site issues, systems, and relatedfacility operations
To thrive in this role, you have:
+ Associatedegree in Electrical, Electrical Automation or Industrial Maintenance orrelated subject area. In lieu of degree a minimum of 5 years ofelectrical experience will be considered.
+ Minimum1 year of experience working in an industrial or maintenance environmentrelated to electrical work.
+ Experiencetroubleshooting Electrical (both AC and DC circuits), Mechanical, andPneumatic systems.
+ Experienceinterpreting electrical and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
+ Excellentlydemonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
+ Abilityto travel for training – Approximately 10%
+ Settingyou apart from others would be an Associate or Bachelor degree inElectrical, Electrical Automation or Industrial Maintenance with abackground in rolling stock maintenance and commissioning or otherrail-related experience. Experience with SAP is a plus.
