    In this position you will worka Hybrid work model out of our Wendell, NC location

    Joining Siemens SmartInfrastructure - Electrification and Automation:

    We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic early

    career Project Procurement Specialist for E-House development. The ideal

    candidate will have a foundational understanding of electrical engineering and

    a keen interest in the design, construction, and commissioning of an electrical

    substation. Additionally, the candidate should possess procurement experience

    for large, low-volume custom materials.

     

    Responsibilities will include soliciting quotes,

    negotiating cost reduction price agreements and contracts, sourcing suppliers,

    addressing supply chain issues and request for information for various project

    spends relating to electric distribution and automation systems, including both

    large solutions projects as well as quick turn service projects. This will include procurement of items such

    as: control panels, batteries, power supplies, bus bar, e-house HVAC,

    installation services, engineering services and charging stations. This role requires cross-collaboration with

    engineering, operations and finance on a technical basis during bid, project

    and progress reviews which will include mid and upper management.

    Responsibilities

    Working alongside the appropriate business

    personnel (Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Finance):

    + Solicitation and evaluation ofbids and quotes in coordination with engineering and projectmanagement.

    + Attaining cost reductionstargets both pre and post book

    + Developing sourcing strategiesand supply base to maturity

    + Sourcing and qualifying newsources and expansion of the supply base

    + Reduction in 3 rd partynon-conformance costs

    + Supplier delivery and qualityperformance

    + Evaluation and qualification ofnew and current suppliers

    + PO approval and supply contractnegotiation

    Required Knowledge/Skills,Education, and Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in SupplyChain, Business, or similar degree from an accredited university

    + 1-3 years procurementexperience.

    + 1-3 years ElectricalDistribution Industry and/or related Industry supplier experience.

    + Advanced knowledge of Word,Excel, Power Point

    + Proven negotiation skills

    + Demonstrated ability toactively participate in bid and scope with the ability to obtain basicinformation from prints and/or understand scope documents.

    + Proficient in English (writtenand verbal)

    Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

    + Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and workindependently in a dynamic environment.

    + Strong presentation skills.

    + Experience with e-auction and e-RFQ platforms.

    + Proficient in communicating tactfully anddiplomatically, both orally and in writing.

    + Self-motivated with a dynamic and energeticpersonality.

    + Receptive to direction from managers and team members.

    + Capable of working with various departments to resolveissues.

    + Knowledgeable about Electrical Distribution projects,including products, systems, and services, or related industries.

    + CPM Certification.

    + Experience in industrial environments.

    + Experience in procurement for heavy steel fabrication,electrical, and industrial construction.

    + Familiarity with internet-based applications forpurchasing or auctioning items.

    + Experience with Custom Solutions project business.
