This is a 1–3-month contract opportunity with the potential to **transition into a full-time role based on mutual fit.** The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations, support strategic financial initiatives, and ensure compliance across diverse funding streams. **On-site Monday, Wednesday, Friday in Santa Ana, CA.**

Lead and mentor a team of 7–8 Senior and Staff Accountants through full-cycle month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Oversee cash flow planning and reporting, with a focus on sustainability and transparency across nonprofit funding sources.

Drive automation of manual accounting processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk; QuickBooks experience preferred.

Manage restricted asset accounting, ensuring compliance with nonprofit contract terms, grant allocations, and fund restrictions.

Collaborate cross-functionally to support financial reporting, budgeting, and audit readiness in a mission-driven environment.

+ Proven experience in nonprofit accounting, preferred with **s** **pecific restricted asset/fund accounting and grant compliance, required.**

+ Government contract experience, highly desired.

+ Strong leadership and team development skills.

+ Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

+ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

+ CPA or equivalent credential preferred but not required.

+ Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.

+ Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.

+ Pay Range: $65/hr-$80/hr
