*This is a benefited, full time position working an 8-hr varied shift schedule. Shifts are on a rotation during the weekdays and are generally 6:45a-3:15p, 9a-5:30p, or 11:30a-8p. Every other weekend (both Saturdays and Sundays) and holiday flexibility is required (8am-5pm for weekends and holidays). Located at Scripps Clinic in Rancho Berardo but you will be required to float to neighboring Scripps HealthExpress locations as needed.*

*What you'll do:*

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment

* Perform patient care services that support the providers and clinic

* Front Office responsibilities such as registration, scheduling, patient check-ins, collecting co-pays and check-outs

* Clinical support by checking patient vitals, rooming patients, stocking exam rooms, point of care duties, immunizations, covid swabbing, and providing patient education

* Wide variety of acute care patients

* Patient volumes of 25 and up per day (sometimes as high as 50)

*Required Qualifications:*

* Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman

* BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

*Preferred Qualifications:*

* One year MA experience in an outpatient setting

* Pediatric experience

* Experience with injections and vaccines

* Experience with PPD (tuberculin) placement
