    Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a **Medical Assistant** to work at a facility in **Colmar, PA .** These are _registry_ positions with our company.

     

    **Pay Rate** : $25 / hour

    *W2

    Shift details:

    + Class: MA - ABH - PA Shift: 1 Start: 08:00:00 End: 16:00:00

    Requirements:

    + A High School diploma or GED is required.

    + A Medical Assistant certificate is required.

    + Minimum of one (1) year working as a medical assistant, preferably in a behavioral health setting.

    + Certification in phlebotomy is preferred.

    + NOTE: requirements will vary based on division, product, subproduct, and/or state

    Description:

    + Assist providers with the examination of people in recovery (PIR), measuring vital signs, venipuncture, including collecting specimens and for laboratory analysis

    + Prepare PIR paperwork for provider appointments

    + Prepare rooms for examination by the provider

    + Maintain a steady flow of PIRs in the medical department

    + Respond to medical emergencies

    + Complete required documentation timely.

    + Exemplify customer service by answering phones and interacting with program members, staff, clinicians, and visitors in a timely and pleasant manner

    + Use the EHR to check in clients presenting for appointments

    + Schedule follow-up appointments and re-schedule appointments when necessary

    + Work closely with medical staff and communicate when clients have arrived for appointments

    + Help to resolve client's issues as they arise to avoid escalation

    + Utilize de-escalation skills when appropriate

    + Positively interact with clients when waiting to see medical staff

    + Accept changes in assignments in the spirit of good teamwork; accept constructive feedback about performance or behaviors; demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving relating to issues or concerns

    + Escort PIRs and all guests around the facility as needed
