The Impact You Will Make
We are seeking an early-career or mid-career strategist who is experienced, innovative, strategic, and passionate to join our growing research and insights team.
The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has spent time developing messaging and strategy by working with data at a public opinion research firm, in corporate communications, on campaigns, or in government. In this role, you will be responsible for executing and implementing research design and analysis for leading brands, advocacy organizations and political clients.
We are looking for a strong critical thinker willing to help us tackle our toughest challenges. We need people who are ready to solve problems and bring both a data-driven mindset and a sensitivity to language, messaging, and persuasion.
+ Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000
+ Location: Expectation to work from our DC or NYC office at least 3 days a week
What the Day-to-Day Looks Like
+ Drive Development of Strategy, Research, & Analysis. Help advise clients and internal BPI teams on communications strategies, messaging, and targeting. Work to design survey questionnaires and focus group discussion guides. Produce first draft analysis on research projects – in both written and visual form.
+ Collaborate Cross-Functionally. Work closely with our Survey Ops team to monitor and manage surveys in the field and focus group recruitment. Serve as project manager for active research projects. Develop strong points of view on methodology. Guide the creation of client deliverables such as toplines, crosstabs, and time series analyses.
+ Anchor Strategy in Insights. Bring foundational expertise on data-driven communication strategies across BPI and with clients. Work on corporate, public affairs, political and other client related projects to guide targeting and messaging decisions. Support new business proposals and presentation development.
Requirements
What You Bring
+ Exceptional writing skills
+ 1-5 years’ experience with polling, surveys, research methodology, and analysis
+ Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
+ Exceptional analytical, decision making, and time-management skills
+ Excels in fast-paced work environments and juggling multiple projects with tight deadlines
+ Outstanding collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and self-directed
+ Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
+ Curiosity and some experimentation on how AI can enhance opinion research – both in making work more efficient, and opening new doors
