Beverage Server - Gold Town Pahrump Nugget, Gold Town & Lakeside (Pahrump, NV)

Description:

Summary:

The Beverage Server provides timely and efficient beverage service in a friendly and courteous manner to guests in the casino and bars. The server must keep assigned areas clean and maintain a clean setting for guests.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for the highest level of guest service while observing responsible beverage service

+ Takes orders, serves drinks, and assists guests in a friendly and professional manner

+ Provide requested beverage cocktails and deliver cordially to guests within the assigned area

+ Maintain stocked supplies and cleanliness of assigned beverage server outlet

+ Accurately follows all cash handling and Micros POS procedures

+ Requests identification from guests when legal age is questioned

+ Be aware of and adhere to Company complimentary drink policies that apply to guests while gaming on the property

+ Remove glassware from machines or other locations while completing rounds

+ Assist other team members, when needed, in instances of side work, drink orders and occasionally help and train new Team Members to acclimate to their new position

+ Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position

+ Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

+ Minimum on one year experience as a beverage server or in a customer service-related field preferred

+ Knowledge of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including but not limited to beers, wines, and cocktails

+ Ability to provide courteous 10-minute service rounds of beverage requests and delivery within assigned areas.

+ Ability to call drinks and provide proper garnish and present requested beverages accurately

+ Excellent customer service, communication, and money-handling skills

+ Proven experience providing high level of guest service

+ Experience using POS Systems and electronic ordering systems

+ Must be 21 years of age

+ High School education or equivalent

+ Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

+ Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

+ Verify right to work in the United States

+ Nye County Liquor Work Permit

Physical Requirements

+ Occasionally push/pull up to 25lbs

+ Regularly lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels

+ Occasionally squat kneel, and sit

+ Regularly reach, bent, and twist

+ Regularly stand, walk, stoop

+ Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity

+ Regularly move throughout the property

+ Ability to ascend and descent stairs

+ Frequent near/far vision acuity, depth perception and field of vision

+ Additional conditions include the ever-present hazard of sharp edges in and around the slot machines and poor air quality inside the count room due to excessive dust
