    The Position

    The Portland Water Bureau's Centralized Technology Division is looking to hire two qualified candidates to join their team as Technology Product Support (CSA II)!

     

    Join our team and play a key role in sustaining current and future software products, troubleshooting computer hardware, and supporting citywide application rationalization efforts.

     

    About the Position

     

    Job Appointment: Casual

    Work Schedule:

    This position will average 20-40 hours/week. This role will work with their hiring manager to determine their schedule. This is a hybrid role.

     

    Note: These Community Service Aide (CSA II) positions have a maximum of 1,400 hours in a calendar year.

     

    Work Location: Water Bureau Interstate Facility – 664 N. Tillamook St., Portland, OR, 97227

    Position Summary

    One position will support the Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) team. This team maintains small-to medium-sized applications across the Bureau.

    In addition, EBS also:

    + Leads Citywide application rationalization efforts

    + Manages software procurement

    + Provides general technical support at the Interstate campus

     

    The second position will join the Water Asset Management System (WAMS) team. This team is responsible for the Bureau’s Enterprise Asset Management/Computerized Maintenance Management System (EAM/CMMS), Infor Public Sector (IPS). This team’s essential tasks include:

     

    + Front-line triaging of customer requests

    + Reviewing and updating training materials and documentation

    + Supporting administrative and communication functions

    As Technology Product Support (CSAII), you will:

    Support Enterprise Business Solutions

     

    + Provide front-line triaging support to diagnose and resolve customer requests, escalating to appropriate centralized technology resources when needed

    + Meet with customers to review software licensing and usage to uncover cost savings opportunities through application rationalization

    + Support lead Business System Analyst with software procurement requests and documentation

    + Help investigate and resolve basic computer hardware requests at the Interstate campus, such as PC life cycle replacements, Windows upgrades, hardware troubleshooting, etc.

     

    Support Water Asset Management System

     

    + Provide front-line triaging support to diagnose and resolve customer requests, escalating to appropriate centralized technology resources when needed

    + Help create training materials, including guides and e-learning modules for software and technological solutions, ensuring materials align with the needs of the end user.

    + Coordinate training activities, including developing and delivering training content, and scheduling end-users' training.

    + Create and maintain project documentation. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: Project plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, issue logs, and resources required for project success.

    The following minimum qualifications are required for these positions:

    + Knowledge and experience using IT project/product management solutions for tracking work (ex. Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Jira, Etc.)

    + Experience and ability to front-line troubleshoot technical issues and triage, following well-defined process workflows.

    + Knowledge and experience with assisting in creating ,designing, and/or delivering training content for end users.

    + Experience and ability with multitasking and managing time effectively in a fast-paced work environment that is subject to frequent change.

    + Knowledge of and experience with technology and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, or others.
