    The Knowledge Systems Group (KSG) at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a **Program Manager II for Software Platforms** . This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of research and clinical software platforms at DFCI, directly contributing to breakthrough cancer research and patient care through innovative technology solutions.

     

    The Program Manager for Software Platforms will oversee the creation, development, and maintenance of critical software systems, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder requirements. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources effectively, and facilitate seamless communication throughout the software development lifecycle. We utilize Agile and Scrum methodologies for all software projects, creating a collaborative and iterative development environment.

    Scope and Complexity: Manage moderately complex programs that span multiple departments, coordinating related projects to support cross-departmental initiatives.

     

    Decision Making: Make informed decisions about resource allocation and project timelines, with some autonomy in resolving operational challenges.

     

    Stakeholder Interaction and Communication: Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including department heads and project leads, to gather requirements and provide updates.

     

    Program Management: Plan and manage program activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and efficient use of resources.

     

    Quality Assurance and Performance Monitoring: Track program progress and performance metrics, report findings to stakeholders and recommend improvements.

     

    Documentation: Maintain accurate program documentation and ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.

     

    Risk Management: Identify potential risks to program success and implement mitigation strategies to address them.

     

    Minimum Education Requirement

     

    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, healthcare, or a related field required.

     

    Minimum Experience Requirement

     

    Five (5) years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibility of which at least two (2) years must be in program management OR comparable roles.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    + Solid understanding of program management methodologies and practices.

    + Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    + Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Proficiency in project management software and tools.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

    + Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

     

    Certification

     

    Project or Program Management Professional certification is preferred (PgMP, PMP, etc.)
