    Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (DS) is seeking a **Program Manager 3** to lead the execution of critical aspects of the **AARGM-ER Missile** portfolio within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit. Our Advanced Weapons team designs, develops, and manufactures missile systems that support U.S. national security and allied defense missions.

     

    Role Overview

     

    The Program Manager will lead key production and strategic follow-on efforts within the AARGM-ER portfolio, reporting directly to the Director of AARGM-ER Production Programs. This position will lead cross-functional teams to ensure cost, schedule, scaling for capacity, and strategic growth objectives are met. Building strong customer and stakeholder relationships and driving new business opportunities will be central to this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Production planning, execution, and delivery to cost and schedule, and quality objectives.

    + Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and cycle time through data-driven decision making

    + Build and strengthen customer relationships to identify growth opportunities.

    + Drive capture planning, proposal development, and long-term strategy.

    + Direct cross-functional IPTs to achieve performance goals.

    + Measure and report on program performance to stakeholders and leadership.

    + Negotiate contracts, contract changes, budgets, and schedules.

    + Manage program requirements, baselines, resources, and risk/opportunity plans.

    + Partner closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality organizations to cross-functional alignment

    + Ensure adherence to all contracts, policies, and industry standards.

    + Present to customers, executive leadership, and other key stakeholders.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 8 years of experience (STEM degree substitutions apply).

    + Minimum 10 years managing programs (production or development), with proven delivery on cost, schedule, and quality.

    + Demonstrated success in team leadership and stakeholder management.

    + Knowledge of pricing and proposals; supplier management experience.

    + Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + STEM or business degree; PMP® certification.

    + 5–10 years of direct production management

    + Proposal management experience.

    + Background with Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methods.

    + Active DoD clearance.

    Primary Level Salary Range: $187,000.00 - $280,600.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
