Required Education/Experience

+ Bachelor's Degree Engineering Degree (Civil, Mechanical, Electric) and a minimum of 2 years work experience - to include 1yr of engineering work experience

Relevant Work Experience

+ Must be able to supervise employees and manage their productivity Required

+ Must have the ability to understand and interpret field constructed drawings and layouts Required

+ Must have a high regard for personal accountability and excellence.

+ Must be well organized, detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities.

+ Must have an understanding of the Electric distribution system and be able to interpret and apply Engineering Orders, layouts, M&S, and C&DO plates Required

+ Engineering experience including distribution design, computerized layout design,

+ company mapping systems, Work Management System, budget preparation, PVL load

+ flow analysis Preferred

+ Knowledge of Electric Operations, which includes equipment, cable and splicing, associated with underground and/or overhead installation and associated construction standards Preferred

+ Experience using EGIS and Designer XI applications for mapping and layout design Preferred

Skills and Abilities

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Excellent organizational skills

+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.

+ Demonstrated analytical skills

+ Possesses strong technical aptitude

+ Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines

Licenses and Certifications

+ Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

+ Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday

+ Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday

+ Ability to read small print and symbols

Additional Physical Demands

+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Must be able to work outdoors and under extreme weather conditions

+ Must be able to walk extensively, as well as climb and bend

+ Must be available to respond to emergency conditions when called, be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and willing to work a flexible schedule.

+ Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders

+ Driver's license required for travel within service territory
