The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is an education service agency that provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired, and Special School Programs). Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting; OR

A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting; OR

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics; OR

An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR

Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

JOB DUTIES:

1. Processing Accounts Payables

2. Reviewing and Processing Travel Requests and Reimbursements

3. Updating various accounts payable trackers and reports

4. Conduct Audits

5. Review and process invoices for contracts, purchase requisitions.

6. Receiving reports to verify compliance and correctness of items, prices, quantities, etc.

Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional

Work Schedule : Typically, work hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday - Friday.
