IT System Engineer

+ Utilize troubleshooting and critical thinking skills related to IT system dependencies, impacts, and sustainability
+ Develop and design new IT solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability of the Ground System Elements and Mission Suites within MDSEA
+ Document designs and develop implementation and test plans to be installed by sustainment personnel
+ Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure integration and compliance
+ Work with Project Managers to produce artifacts to support preliminary, detailed, and critical design reviews with stakeholders
+ Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training:
+ Bachelors Degree in any IT or STEM related field required
Experience:
+ 5+ years of system engineering experience
+ 1+ year of experience in a leadership role
+ Documented experience developing and editing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) products for IT systems required
+ Experience in the decomposition of complex mission systems into manageable components required
+ Experience in developing detailed implementation plans for new solutions and systems
+ Experience in systems engineering related to IT and satellite ground systems
+ Experience with Requirements Analysis and Management
+ Demonstrable understanding of the System Engineering V Model and engineering lifecycle
Security:
+ Must be a US citizen
+ Active DoD issued Secret Clearance required
+ Active DoD issued Top/Secret SCI clearance preferred
Physical Requirements:
+ Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
+ Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
+ Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
+ Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: $130,000 - 155,000
