Minimum Experience 0 Summary The Federal Reserve Board (Board) provides students opportunities for career success. The Board’s Internship program is designed to provide valuable work experience for undergraduate and graduate students considering careers including, but not limited to, economics, finance and accounting, information systems, and data analysis. The Board believes that by combining academic endeavors with project-related work experience, qualified and capable college students can gain the practical knowledge need in a competitive global job market. Internships are paid positions with salaries commensurate with credit hours; internships may be in-person, remote or hybrid, depending on the needs of the team. Employment in the Board’s internship program is granted to U.S. citizens. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and returning to continue studies after the internship. Interns receive a syllabus or research project plan outlining their projects and goals for the internship. Interns are assigned a supervisor or mentor to guide them through their internship, and regular check-in meetings with their manager to manage performance expectations and assist with learning goals. Interns have access to a wide range of training programs and events for professional development purposes. Position Requirements About the Team & Role The U.S Currency Education Program (CEP) of the Federal Reserve Board (Board) educates a global public on the design and security features of Federal Reserve notes. To achieve their goals, the CEP manages uscurrency.gov , produces hardcopy and digital resources, offers counterfeit trainings, maintains two mobile apps, conducts domestic and international stakeholder engagement, and implements digital communications strategies via social media and newsletters. As the CEP intern, you will field public inquiries, monitor media trackers, analyze product data, conduct research supporting CEP outreach initiatives, and participate in public-facing communications projects. You will also have the opportunity to lead team meetings and attend skills development workshops. At the end of your internship, you'll create and present on a topic of your choosing relevant to the summer. Typically, these presentations focus on an improvement project for CEP staff consideration. About You (Background & Skills) Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Finance, International Relations, Economics, or a related field, graduating Aug '26 or later. Required Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in research methods, data analysis, and all Microsoft Office applications Preferred Skills: Experience with Adobe CS, social media marketing, or data visualization tools Please upload a copy of your resume & an unofficial transcript prior to submitting your application.   Requirements U.S. Citizenship required.
