ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Full-Time Cardiology Technician II to support the McCandless location.

Shift Details:

+ 6am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday

+ Every third weekend and holidays are as assigned

+ Shifts will be further discussed during the interviewResponsibilities:

+ Utilize the Cardiology and Management System, Information System effectively to ensure accurate departmental data, such as reports , statistics and patient information.

+ Assist in student teaching and orientation.

+ Light clerical duties.

+ Perform Exercise Stress Testing, and evaluate EKG rhythms on Holter recordings.

+ Participate in a performance improvement program and implement methods of Improvement.

+ Obtain quality EKG's while following hospital and patient protocols.

+ Recognize and documents all patient information related to patient care.

+ Transcription of cardiology services reports.

+ Work between Cardiology and Central Monitoring addressing each labs needs for a Technician.

+ Complete daily transcriptions.

+ Hook up Flex monitor and maintain equipment.

+ Demonstrates individualized care for each patient.

+ Take responsibility for personal performance improvement.

+ High School graduate.

+ Completion of a Medical Assistant program, Cardiology Technician programs or 1-year supervised training in a Cardiology Department required.

+ Microsoft word, Transcription, Basic and Advance arrhythmia class through a continuing education course with documentation of completion

+ 1-year of supervised Stress Test and Holter scanning in a Cardiology department required.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of hire

+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

+ Act 33 with renewal

+ Act 34 with renewal

+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
