We are searching for the best talent **Principal Automation Engineer** **.** This Hybrid position can be based in Athens. Georgia.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120,000 to 172,500.

The Principal Automation Engineer (M/F/X) is a technical-strategic, high-impact role, powering the key element of the Automation group – **Project Delivery & Support** .
As a successful candidate, you bring **automation expertise** as Domain Specialist in Process/Distributed Control Systems; you provide project leadership for sophisticated automation solution designs and implementations for complex production and processing challenges and technological advancement opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ready to integrate a strongly motivated and capable team, provide leadership and specialist input? As such:
+ Lead the execution of automation projects, to achieve business goals, meet production schedules and realize value. Own timely delivery of project work, budget, plan and documentation.
+ Ensure that computerized systems are fit for the intended use and aligned with applicable standards throughout the entire system life cycle.
+ Build and transfer knowledge to the Team, Users and Maintenance teams.
+ Develop functional, system and business strategies, roadmaps and capabilities related to our automated systems. Lead cost-benefit and priority determination of automation projects and initiatives.
+ Work closely with colleagues from Operations, Logistics, Safety, Facilities, Maintenance or Quality in the identification of business opportunities or needs. Proficiently partner with external contract companies and suppliers.
In a collaborative role, we may invite our new colleague to support additional (ad-hoc, optional) automation responsibilities:
+ Support the development of our Automation Network, Process Analytical Tools (PAT), Data Integrity (DI), or cybersecurity.
+ Study, adopt and build traction for efficient emerging technologies, challenge the status quo and drive improvement).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** **:
Bring the following technical expertise:
+ Deploy Control Systems expertise: infrastructure, design (Hardware / Software), with an advantage for life sciences expertise.
+ Bring knowledge in OSI-PI/historians and PI Asset Framework, MVA, CPV.
+ Strong Delta V, Recipe, GMP expertise is a must.
+ Project Team leadership / Vendor management
+ Financial, Safety, CSV and Process knowledge
+ Very strong written and verbal communication
+ Technological & Digital capabilities
Improve coordinative capabilities as part of our strong, variate Automation Team:
+ Enhance your proven record in project delivery, organizational change and engineering, including design, construction, commissioning and qualification, project hand-over and start-up.
+ Take ownership to optimally deliver and contribute to smaller regional projects and larger global programs, while maintaining oversight and zooming into detail as required.
+ Independently plan and prioritize work to ensure completion of multiple projects running in parallel.

Required Qualifications:
+ A Technical Degree in Industrial Automation, Information Technology or Engineering.
+ 10 years of Industrial experience is required.
