Job Description
The purpose of this position is to conduct outreach and recruitment efforts, advise dually enrolled high school students, and assist new students with the application process. This is accomplished by marketing the College’s services and products at events on and off campus; meeting with prospective students; advising and providing registration assistance to dually enrolled high school students; giving presentations; creating a recruitment pipeline for traditional and nontraditional students within the region; coordinating application services and other outreach events at area public/private high schools; conducting Open House and other admissions events; attending college fairs; conducting and tracking outreach to prospective students and applicants via phone/email/text. Other duties include inputting data; performing tele-counseling functions; providing occasional direction of work study students; providing campus tours; and coordinating events.

Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Required Education
Associates
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in education recruitment, sales, or marketing; planning and/or organizing events
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word, and ability to learn and use other software platforms
• Ability to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each term as determined by Enrollment Management leadership while tracking performance via analytic tools
• Ability to oversee the recruitment of prospective HCC students within assigned territories, utilizing various communication channels including in-person meetings, CRM, email, text messaging, and phone conversations
• Ability to develop and implement new strategies to attract new students to HCC
• Create, post, monitor, and update content on a variety of social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to allow prospective students to receive accurate information in the setting of their choic
Preferred Qualifications
• Ellucian Banner or other student information system preferred
• Knowledge of Slate or other CRM systems to track interactions and conversations with prospective enrollees in order to personalize outreach
• Educational/Admissions recruitment experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
