    **Job Purpose or Objective(s):** The Social Media Coordinator will oversee and manage the Tribal Council's presence on social media platforms, ensuring that communication reflects the values and priorities of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. This position is responsible for creating, curating, and managing content that informs tribal citizens, celebrating culture and traditions, and strengthens the connection between the Tribal Council, the Choctaw people, and external organizations.

    Primary Tasks:

    1. Develop and execute social media strategies for the Tribal Council across multiple platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok).

    2. Create engaging, culturally appropriate content that highlights Tribal Council initiatives, community events, and Choctaw traditions.

    3. Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.

    4. Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and recommend strategies for growth and engagement.

    5. Collaborate with Tribal Council members, communications staff, and other departments to ensure consistency of messaging.

    6. Support livestreams, digital announcements, and multimedia storytelling efforts.

    7. Ensure all social media content aligns with Choctaw Nation policies, values, and community standards.

    8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    + Associate degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business Administration, or another related field, or four (4) years of relevant experience.

    + Experience in social media content planning and execution.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Exhibit knowledge and correct use of social media management tools.

    + Knowledge of all digital platforms and their integration into traditional media.

    + Copywriting and proofreading skills.

    + Positivity and flexibility, works well with others.

    + Six months exposure to marketing related experience in any industry.
