Job Summary: Performs various duties to facilitate food preparation food service and maintain cooking and serving equipment and areas in clean and orderly condition. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains water and detergent levels in dishwasher removes strainer pans inspection doors etc. for proper cleaning of equipment inside and out. - Performs scouring and scrubbing of heavy cooking utensils or pots and pans which are large and awkward to handle. May use a dishwasher in the cleaning of equipment. - Cleans scrubs wipes and or washes tables counters and other service equipment such as work tables and refrigerators sweeps and mops floors. - Washes cuts scrapes chops dices and peels raw fruits and vegetables for cooking. - Is responsible for care in operating equipment and cleaning same. - Works under the general supervision of a designated supervisor. Work is performed in accordance with prescribed procedures and instructions and is reviewed by observation for proper performance and compliance with instructions. PHYSICAL EFFORT Associate frequently lifts or moves carts of dirty dishes weighing up to 30 pounds occasionally up to 45 pounds is required to constantly stand and walk in accomplishing work. WORKING CONDITIONS Incumbent works in areas which are uncomfortably warm damp and noisy floors may be wet and slippery.
