    MDS Nurse Coordinator, RN

     

    Full Time – Day ShiftSalary: $80,000-$100,000/year (based on experience)

    Overview

     

    Manages Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care revenue processes. Ensures residents receive appropriate skilled services that support independence and successful discharge. Reviews Quality Measures, addresses areas for improvement, and educates staff on best practices to optimize resident outcomes, MDS accuracy, and reimbursement.

    What You’ll Do

     

    As theMDS RN Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and quality in our resident assessment process. Key responsibilities include:

     

    + Completes MDS assessments and care plans, including interviews and documentation, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and timely completion

    + Reports to MDS Coordinator

    + Reviews and ensures compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, third-party payer requirements, and internal policies.

    + Reviews monthly and quarterly Quality Measure and Resident Summary reports for trends

    + Collaborates effectively across disciplines to ensure compliance and consistency in processes

     

    What We’re Looking For

     

    + CurrentRN license and registration in New York State

    + Prior MDS experience strongly preferred

    + RAC-CT Certificationpreferred

    Qualifications

    + Licensed and currently registered in New York State as a Registered Nurse.

    + Previous MDS experience preferred

    + RAC-CT Certification preferred
