• VPAT Analyst - INTL India

    Job Description

    A client of Insight Global is seeking a VPAT analyst to join the team in India. Responsibilities include:

    Create VPATs for 3 web-based products:

    • SPA – Smart Policy Assist

    • SSA – Smart Survey Assist

    • SaaS PY

     

    Act as an end user to test accessibility

     

    Document what the VPAT supports and does not support

     

    Collaborate with product managers, developers, and compliance officers

     

    Provide clear documentation and recommendations for remediation

     

    No existing team member is fully rounded in accessibility, so this role will be pivotal

     

    Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 (Levels A, AA, AAA)

     

    Familiarity with Section 508 (U.S.), optionally EN 301 549 (EU)

     

    Experience applying accessibility standards to web apps, SaaS, mobile apps, and documents

     

    Hands-on experience with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)

     

    Manual accessibility testing skills

     

    Use of tools like Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, Accessibility Insights

     

    Knowledge of HTML, ARIA, CSS, JavaScript

     

    Experience completing VPAT templates accurately

     

    Ability to explain support levels and write remediation recommendations

     

    Understanding of legal accessibility requirements in procurement

     

    Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Skills and Requirements

    1 Year of experience with VPAT

     

    Experience acting as an end user to simulate accessibility scenarios

     

    Familiarity with virtual access environments

     

    Ability to advise on risk and prioritize fixes before VPAT publication
