Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Sr. Full Stack Java Developer to join one of their top financial clients in New York City, coming onsite 4x per week in Midtown East. This individual will be joining the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) line of business, focusing on a number of technical enhancement and modernization efforts within Investment Banking. This person will be full stack focused, leveraging strong Java and API skills, as well as backend database experience, specifically with SQL. This person should be comfortable in a coding-intensive role mentoring other junior resources, while also being proactive and eager to take on ownership and provide solutions long-term. The candidate will participate in multiple software development processes including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation. They will develop software applications based on clear business specifications and work closely with quant researchers/developers, technology teams, middle-office & trading global systems.

Skills and Requirements

-7+ years of Java/backend development experience and Spring Boot

-Experience with Microapps, JavaScript, React

-Experience with Kafka integrations

-Strong experience within a financial services environment (core banking, ledger, payments, etc.)

-Strong understanding of API development & CI/CD pipelines

-Strong SQL database skills

-Experience within Azure, GCP, or AWS

-Experience with Python scripting

-Experience with GitHub

-Experience in designing and implementing microservices-based solutions

-Experience with Databricks
