A leading company in the pharmacy benefit management space is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong data-focused skills to support their data exchange initiatives. This role will primarily involve working on file specifications for load and extract programs, ensuring accurate data mapping, and writing functional requirements to support data integration efforts. The BSA will collaborate closely with developers and QA teams to validate data flows and ensure successful implementation. Responsibilities include analyzing file layouts, documenting data models, writing SQL queries for validation, and translating custom file formats into internal standards. This is an internal-facing role with a strong emphasis on documentation and data accuracy.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role

• Strong ability to write SQL queries

• Experience with relational databases

• Ability to work with file layouts and data mapping for load and extract programs

• Experience writing functional requirements and data modeling documentation

• Understanding of database syntax and ability to write specifications for data exchange

• Ability to collaborate with development and QA teams to validate data accuracy • Experience working within an Oracle database environment.

• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7

• Experience with data integration projects in healthcare or similar regulated industries
