Job Summary
Red Butte Garden is seeking a Senior Events Supervisor to oversee the coordination and execution of events including weddings, memorials, corporate gatherings, and botanical exhibitions across the Garden’s venues. This role will provide leadership and guidance to the Events team, ensuring that the needs of clients, guests, and vendors are met with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities
+ Respond to reservation inquires via phone, email, and in-person, and facilitate appropriate booking arrangements.
+ Acts as a senior contact for the client and coordinates various series and subsequent changes.
+ Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of event staff; provide ongoing guidance and task delegation.
+ Assigns all duties relating to event activities; prepares checklists for cleaning and set-up of all event areas. Inspects all areas to ensure that cleaning and set-up has been completed prior to events.
+ Coordinate logistics across departments and vendors, including catering, security, parking, and guest services.
+ Prepare and manage billing for scheduled events including charges for property damages during an event.
+ Receives and processes payment for the events.
+ Collaborate with the events manager to develop departmental procedures, policies and rental contracts.
+ Establishes and maintains rental fees and discounts.
+ Monitors each vendor for consistency and compliance to agreements.
+ Partner with the communications department to identify and select advertising opportunities.
+ Contribute to the design and content of marketing materials including brochures, pricing lists, posters, and banners.
+ Assist in planning and hosting botanic exhibit and special programming.
+ Conduct regular inspections of event venues and report maintenance needs to ensure optimal facility conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
**EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :** 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:
**Supervisor, Event Planning Management:** Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience or a master’s (or equivalency) degree.
**Senior Supervisor, Event Planning Management:** Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
