Job Summary
The Business Administrator Intermediate is independently responsible for management of financial analysis, forecasting, accounting/budget functions relative to financial management, budget, costs controls, planning and accounting [including central, general, restricted accounts and financial procedural change]. This role is also responsible for assisting leadership, faculty and staff with gathering data needed in the preparation of various reports, enrollment forecasts and budgetary inquiries.
This position reports directly to the Dean.
Responsibilities*
Budget
+ Responsible for tracking and management of all aspects of financial analysis, forecasting, accounting/budget functions relative to financial management, budget, costs controls, planning and accounting [including central, general, restricted accounts and financial procedural change].
+ Work with faculty and staff on reviewing and approving expense reports.
Reports/Data/Other
+ Responsible for assisting leadership, faculty and staff with gathering data needed in the preparation of various reports, enrollment forecasts and budgetary inquiries.
Supervise and Assist with Human Resources Functions
+ Supervise Administrative Specialist
+ Monitor gross pay registers
+ Work with and support Administrative Specialist with faculty and staff HR and pay related problems
+ Review salary calculations each semester before appointment letters are sent
+ Offer guidance and opinions to Leadership on HR related questions
Space/facilities Management and other duties
+ Oversee the assignment of faculty and staff offices
+ Coordinate renovation projects with respect to the budget
+ Support the PI of NFLP HRSA regarding the annual report and disseminate information regarding NFLP updates to Dean and PI.
Required Qualifications*
+ Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
+ 2 or more years of proven experience in business and finance management
+ Evidence of success with increasing levels of administrative responsibility and accountability
+ Advanced knowledge of database and budgeting software such as Tableau, Business Objects, M-Reports, E-Recruit, and M-Pathways and other skills such as Google and Microsoft Office suites.

Modes of Work
Hybrid:
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
