    Work Days: Monday-Friday

     

    Weekly Hours: 35.00

     

    Exemption Status: Exempt

     

    Salary Range: $67,750.00 - $78,100.00

     

    *As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices

    Position Summary

    Manages day-to-day financial, administrative and/or related operational activities to ensure the smooth functioning of the office.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Routinely analyzes and evaluates workflows to ensure maximum efficiency.

    + Reviews and reconciles accounts, financial transactions, documentation and/or financial reports. Investigates and corrects discrepancies. Escalates issues as needed.

    + Identifies and follows up on unanticipated/non-budgeted expenses/variances.

    + Responsible for procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment as needed.

    + Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.

    + Provides training to staff in office systems and procedures.

    + Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and/or reagents. May order supplies/equipment/reagents as authorized or ensure that needs are escalated appropriately. Receives supply orders and confirms accuracy of delivery. May assist with cost control.

    + Ensures that facilities and equipment are in optimal and proper working condition. Coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs as needed. May perform minor repairs if qualified and as needed. May advise on upgrades for performance enhancements.

    + If applicable, manages the appointments and promotion process for all academic and faculty appointments within the department.

    + If applicable, assists Principal Investigators with grant management activities.

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Education

    + Bachelor's Degree in related field

    Experience

    Approximately 3 years of related experience

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with multiple constituencies and exercise "people skills".

    + Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

    + Ability to treat confidential information with utmost discretion.

    + Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with multiple constituents.

    + Detail oriented and superb organizational skills.
