The TIG Welder position is located in Dixon, IL and will be responsible for performing tig welding on materials. This 1st shift position hours are, Monday through Thursday, 4:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Role Responsibilities:

+ Adheres to production schedule

+ Reads, assembles, and welds using TIG and GTAW welding techniques from blueprints.

+ Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.

+ Monitors welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.

+ Setting up to 250 Amp, 32 Volt, 400 IPM wire speed

+ Uses .045 - .052 metal core wire using 90/10 gas

+ Grinds and wire wheels product to clean smooth surfaces

+ Weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead

+ Thorough understanding of machines and tools used for welding

+ Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area

+ Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered

+ Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Minimum of 1 year welding experience

+ Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Welding certification per AMS-STD-1595A

+ 2 years welding experience

+ Strong knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and processes

+ Enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work

+ NADCAP Certification Level II Inspector per Military Standard 271

+ NAVSEA Certification per S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248

Hourly Rate : $23.57

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
