Analytical Sciences Hub Lead
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will create and communicate vision, coach, and catalyze the Analytical Science team in NA. Additionally, you will enable the team to deliver high quality on-time consultation, results, and documentation to successfully develop, register, produce and maintain current and future products.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Analytical Sciences Hub Lead, are to:
+ Lead the SMol - Analytical Science Hub by supporting key regional and global business units devise outcomes for development and registration of new formulations and products;
+ Architect framework to support the team in setting standards for work performed, identify indicators that highlight performance gaps and drive improvement by using continuous improvement tools and incorporate/drive deployment;
+ Build vision and strategy and to evolve infrastructure and staff capabilities to meet the future needs which includes improving the data capture/management/analytics capabilities, optimizing, and building effective workflows as well as incorporation of new technologies and automation;
+ Effectively help teams learn and build the capabilities needed to create value for customers and stakeholders;
+ Inspire team to reach their full potential by providing regular feedback, identifying talent, and successfully recruiting new team members;
+ Facilitate collaboration and connection to make competency hub and mission teams highly functioning and scientifically successful;
+ Drive mindset changes via coaching towards DSO mission team focus and success and build bridges into and between hubs across Small Molecules, Plant Biotechnology, Regulatory Science and Product Supply as a strong catalyst to drive R&D portfolio and PS missions;
+ Ensure high safety standards and compliant action within the area of responsibility which include compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety as well as environmental protection obligations;
+ Provided these duties are not to be executed in person, parts of these duties can be delegated further;
+ Enable robust GLP systems that ensure compliance which is paramount.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field;
+ Strong understanding of digital tools for data analytics and management;
+ Proven leadership experience managing scientific teams and complex projects;
+ Strong communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills;
+ Visionary: guide teams in defining the outcomes to deliver on the mission;
+ Architect: shape a value-creating system to unleash the passion and energy of our people;
+ Catalyst: remove roadblocks to facilitate connection and collaboration;
+ Coach: help teams learn and build the capabilities needed to create value for customers and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 10+ years of experience in R&D within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Relocation may be offered for this role.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $174,894.40 to $262,341.60. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
