What You'll Be Doing: The Heartbeat of Patient Care
This job is a **highly active role** centered on **human connection** and ensuring our hospital runs safely and smoothly. You will be the essential link between departments, bringing care and comfort directly to our patients.
+ **Connect with Patients:** Greet patients and transport them safely throughout our hospital via wheelchairs or stretchers.
+ **Be a Source of Comfort:** Use your time during transport to talk with the patient, ease their anxiety, and ensure they are comfortable.

Your Impact on Patient Outcomes
Your role is an absolutely critical, unsung hero of patient safety and satisfaction. Here's how your work makes a measurable difference every shift:
+ **Reduce Wait Times:** Your efficient transport to surgery or imaging directly reduces a patient's wait time, allowing clinical staff to begin potentially life-saving treatment sooner.
+ **Improve Patient Experience:** The compassionate conversation you have during transport significantly boosts patient morale and reduces pre-procedure stress, which directly contributes to higher hospital satisfaction scores.
+ **Enable Clinical Action:** The swift delivery of critical specimens (like biopsies or blood) to the lab accelerates diagnostic testing, a key factor in improving patient safety in a Level II Trauma Center.
Qualifications and Growth Potential
This is an **entry-level role** —no prior healthcare experience is required!
+ **Required Certification:** Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross prior to your start date.
