    Community Support Services (CSS) is seeking a dedicated human services professional to supervise and lead direct care staff in a Short-Term Residential Home serving individuals with complex, co-occurring disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, mental health conditions, and/or brain injuries. The Community Residential Supervisor will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating Short-Term Residential Services programs.

    Responsibilities:

    + **Supervise staff so that employees effectively perform assigned job duties and achieve the objectives of the program/unit/section/division.**

    + **Administer the fiscal resources of a CSS Short Term Residential home and of individuals to ensure that expenditures are made in a prudent manner and are following state and federal regulations.**

    + **Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of CSS Short-Term Residential programs to promote individual growth and community integration.**

    + **Provide direct care services to individuals in the CSS Short-Term Residential program while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.**

    + **Carry out administrative duties to ensure individuals receive necessary services in a safe, healthy, and welcoming residential environment.**

    + **Build and maintain positive relationships within the local community.**

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Demonstrated leadership experience. Leadership experience can include:

    + Experience as a Supervisor, lead worker, team lead or project lead;

    + Completion of a State of Minnesota Leadership Program (e.g. L4, Emerging Leaders Institute);

    + 1 year serving as an Employee Resource Group (ERG) Chair or Co-Chair at Department of Human Services.

    AND

    + Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in a therapeutic, residential, or corrective environment providing counseling and rehabilitative care which must include the following:

    + Administering, developing, and/or evaluating client care programs;

    + Facilitate program coordination among individuals, families, case managers, community members and care team.

    AND

    + Must meet the qualifications to be a Designated Coordinator per MN Statute 245D.081 (https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/245D.081) , subdivisions 2 and 3:

    Candidates must also minimally meet these required qualifications:

    + Possess a valid Driver’s License

    + Provide leadership by motivating, communicating, and engaging a diverse work group.

    + Work rotating or irregular hours as needed, or directed, to complete on-site supervisory responsibilities.

    + Provide direct care as needed.

    + Critical thinking and problem-solving skills sufficient to analyze and evaluate complex situations, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance to direct reports and individuals receiving services.

    + Work collaboratively in a team environment.

    + Communication skills sufficient to explain sensitive, controversial and confidential information to direct reports, individuals receiving services, labor and other partners in a clear and concise manner, while adhering to data privacy laws and requirements.

    + Interpret financial statements, taking corrective actions, educating, and managing budget to ensure profitability.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • A minimum of three (3) years of Supervisory-level experience in a program providing direct support services or vocational services to individuals with disabilities or who are at least 65 years old.

    • Multi-site supervisory/management experience.

    • Understanding of behavior analysis.

    • Understanding of mental illness diagnosis.

    Experience:

    • Leading trainings on topics related to care for adults with disabilities.

    • Working with individuals with active symptoms of a psychiatric diagnosis.

    • Working with computer-based programs.

    • Planning service initiatives with county case managers and other providers.

    • Working with individuals with higher-level behavioral issues.
