    As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

     

    What you'll do...

    Lead and supervise a team of Manufacturing Engineering Supervisors & Engineers, including:

    + Able to support Body Shop Plant Operations 24 / 7 as needed.

    + Lead maintenance & development of all Ford Global Body Shop Tooling, Controls, Joining & MES standards

    + Lead the design, build, controls, joining & MES activities for all N.A. new model programs Tooling

    + Ensure timely order & delivery of all required Ford to Furnish components for all N.A. new model programs

    + Actively work with other BCE managers on Tier 1 Tool Integrator sourcing for all N.A new model programs

    + Actively lead commercial bids & agreements with Ford Purchasing for all body tooling components

    + Actively lead body tooling innovation development projects

    + Ensure proper staffing for the department and all N.A. new model programs

    + Serve all employees and ensure employee development and succession planning

    + Ensure all Body Shop Joining Controls Plans are approved and in compliance

    + Conduct 3 rd Party Body Shop Annual Joining Audits

    + Maintain the Vehicle Operations Structures & Standards (VOSS)

    + Maintain Body Supplier Contacts & Escalation List

    + Launch Body Shop Error Proofing & Quality Systems

    + Ensure Discrete Event Simulations are performed for all N.A. new model programs body shops and that designs fulfill capacity needs

    + Manage all N.A. Body Shops annual equipment refurbishment projects.

    + Manage all N.A. Body Shops to upgrade obsolete equipment

    + Manage all N.A. Body Shop Cost Save Projects

    + Assist Body Shops as required with throughput constraint analysis and resolution

    + Assist Body Shops as required in critical equipment downtime recovery efforts

    + Organize annual Body Area Managers conferences

     

    You'll have...

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

    + 7-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience.

    + Strong leadership experience to serve and develop a multi-discipline team

    + Previous supervision or management experience

    + Success at leading multiple teams involved in multiple programs / projects

    + Experience with automotive body construction methods and product launches

    + Knowledge & experience with automotive body tooling, controls, joining, MES technologies and systems.

    + Exemplary written and oral communication skills

    + Strong interpersonal & organizational skills

    + Domestic travel will be required.
