Role Summary:
The Senior Manager of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and Investor Outreach plays a key leadership role in developing, executing, and communicating the company’s sustainability and ESG strategy as well as serves as a critical day-to-day link between the company and its investor base.
This role will drive initiatives that enhance the company’s ESG performance and ensure transparent, proactive engagement with the investor community. The Senior Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, senior executives, and external partners to integrate ESG priorities into the business strategy and to effectively communicate these ESG efforts along with timely, accurate, and comprehensive company updates to shareholders, analysts, and other key audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead the development and implementation of the company’s ESG strategy, aligning initiatives with overall corporate objectives.
+ Monitor ESG trends, emerging regulations, and reporting frameworks to ensure compliance and industry leadership.
+ Partner with functional teams (e.g., operations, legal, compliance, HR, supply chain) to identify and drive ESG-related improvements and initiatives.
+ Develop and maintain ESG policies, metrics, and goals in line with best practices and stakeholder expectations.
+ Oversee the preparation and publication of ESG reports, disclosures, and responses to ESG ratings and rankings (e.g., CDP, MSCI, ISS, Sustainalytics).
+ Develop and execute a proactive investor relations strategy, inclusive of focus on ESG topics.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, proxy advisors, and rating agencies.
+ Collaborate with the Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis teams along with other business partners to summarize and present financial results in a concise, clear, data-driven, structured manner to applicable parties.
+ Prepare ESG-related investor materials, including presentations, talking points, Q&A documents, and shareholder reports.
+ Collaborate with the Investor Relations and Corporate Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and disclosures.
+ Represent the company at investor meetings, ESG conferences, and shareholder events.
+ Serve as the primary internal and external point of contact for ESG-related inquiries and communications.
+ Support Board-level ESG oversight by preparing materials for Board and Committee meetings.
+ Track, analyze, and report ESG performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Drive continuous improvement of ESG reporting processes and data management systems.
+ Lead the submission of the annual CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) report and ensure all required disclosures are complete and accurate.
+ Identify and address gaps in ESG disclosures by developing processes to provide sufficient and robust responses to stakeholder questionnaires and reporting requirements.
+ Build and mature the company’s ESG program by establishing scalable processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to support long-term sustainability goals.
+ Analyze and manage the company’s Scope 3 emissions footprint, with a particular focus on Tier 2 suppliers, and implement initiatives to mitigate impacts across the supply chain.
+ Oversee and expand supplier and customer engagement, ensuring active participation in ESG-related programs and initiatives, and track supplier / customer reporting compliance.
+ Manage quarterly spend data collection and submissions as required by sustainability programs and key partners.
+ Develop policies and frameworks to integrate sustainability performance into procurement processes, including incorporating ESG criteria into RFP scoring and Master Service Agreement (MSA) renewals by 2026.
+ Partner with Strategic Communications as needed
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, investor relations, corporate communications, or related areas.
+ Proven track record in developing and managing ESG strategies and disclosures.
+ Strong understanding of ESG reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB).
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ESG issues into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.
+ Experience engaging with investors, analysts, and senior executives.
+ Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
+ Experience working at private equity-backed firms
Desired Qualifications:
+ Prior experience at healthcare technology company
+ Master’s degree or relevant advanced certification (e.g., CFA, ESG certification).
+ Familiarity with shareholder engagement, proxy advisory firms, and ESG investor expectations.
+ Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
+ Proficiency in ESG data platforms, analytics tools, and investor targeting software.
+ Passion for sustainability and a strong understanding of global ESG trends and best practices.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.
The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$145,000—$170,000 USD
