Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary
The Manager of Product Innovation and Delivery leads a team of technical product analysts and managers, overseeing cross-functional POD-based teams. These teams drive the full product lifecycle—from structured ideation using design thinking to the delivery of new applications that support next-generation technology initiatives in strategic business domains.
The teams supervised by this position support complex, multi-million dollar product initiatives across key business lines. This role is essential in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving. It also plays a pivotal part in positioning Accelerated Technologies team as stakeholder-centric, committed to delivering value as a leading developer, tenacious accelerator, and trusted partner dedicated to the care and improvement of human life.
Major Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management
• Serves as escalation point for resolution of product/program issues with other ITG areas and with HCA business units. Provides leadership and direction to other Innovation and Architecture resources, direct reports, and POD structure teams (non-direct). Ensures clear team goals, fostering a collaborative and creative working environment.
• Cultivates a motivating and inclusive environment that enhances team and individual performance. Promotes team cohesion, actively seeks stakeholder input and feedback, and effectively diffuses tension to maintain a collaborative atmosphere.
• Guides team members in understanding the design thinking process and encourages them to embrace a human-centric approach to problem solving
Project/Program Management:
• Oversees the creation and execution of prioritized initiatives
Ensures milestones are met, meeting cadences and deliverables are performed and being worked in a timely fashion.
• Monitors project budgets, resource allocation and risk management, ensuring projects stay on track and within scope
Emerging Technologies and Technical Solution Alignment
• Collaborates with technology experts to identify opportunities for integrating innovative solutions leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
Ensures proposed innovations align with company strategic technical objectives and business goals, customer needs, and market trends.
• Fosters an environment that encourages experimentation and piloting of new technologies to deliver breakthrough solutions that set the organization apart in the marketplace.
Managing Execution in Cross-Disciplinary Teams:
• In partnership with the Sr. Mgr Innovation and Architecture, leads 4-6 varying cross-disciplinary teams, both direct and non-direct reports, to ensure seamless execution of innovation projects. Fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing among team members from diverse backgrounds and expertise areas
Stakeholder Partnership and Communication:
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal and external partners, from staff level to the executive suite, to build trust and drive consensus.
• Establishes clear communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of architectural strategy, standards, and initiative progress.
• Provides regular updates on progress, milestones achieved, and challenges encountered to ensure transparency and alignment.
People Leadership:
• Performs personnel actions including hiring, assignment, reviews, and recruitment.
• Develops leaders who can create an environment that maximizes speed of delivery, optimizes costs, and grows talent.
• Enforces accountability within staff and utilizes department metrics to measure success and stakeholder satisfaction.
Delegation and Empowerment
• Delegates responsibilities within the POD structure teams to empower team members to take ownership of specific tasks and initiatives.
• Encourages a culture of accountability and trust, allowing teams to work independently while providing necessary support and guidance.
Innovation strategy:
• Supports the development of Innovation and Architecture strategy aligned with company needs and goals. Identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation, working closely with cross–functional teams to execute these strategies effectively
Time Management and Efficiency:
• Fosters a culture of efficiency and time management within teams to optimize productivity and meet deadlines.
• Encourages the use of agile methodologies to adapt quickly to changing priorities and maximize output.
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”
• Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in leading teams (direct/indirect) required
• 10+ years of experience in relevant work experience required and must be onsite/in office 5 days a week
Licenses, Certifications, & Training:
• PMP preferred
• Six Sigma Certifications preferred
• UX Certifications preferred
• Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP) preferred
