As a **Security Professional – Armed Retail Patrol** in **Austin, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a strong presence throughout a bustling retail location. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to various security-related situations with professionalism and integrity. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and company protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter theft, unauthorized activity, and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.

+ Work collaboratively with store management and staff to address security-related concerns and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site guidelines.

+ Follow all company and site protocols regarding the carrying and use of assigned firearms, maintaining compliance with legal and Allied Universal standards.

+ Participate in ongoing training and professional development to remain current with security-related procedures and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ Must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.

+ Must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Level III armed certification is required for Texas.

+ Armed guard card or license is preferred.

+ Baton certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
