About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and data-driven Market Research & CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Specialist with a strong foundation in marketing, CRM systems, and digital research. This role is pivotal in identifying and qualifying high-value sales leads, managing our CRM database, and training team members to effectively use it.
The ideal candidate thrives on research, is highly organized, and understands both the strategic and tactical sides of lead generation—especially within the facility management, janitorial services, or investment property management sectors. Bonus points if you're fluent in Copper and understand digital platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook for market research and outreach.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, business opportunities, and key contacts within our target industries.
• Source and compile data from directories, websites, LinkedIn, databases, and other digital platforms to support business development efforts.
• Manage and maintain the CRM system (preferably Salesforce or Copper) to ensure data quality and relevance.
• Train internal team members on how to use the CRM/database effectively, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data input and usage.
• Segment and structure CRM data to build targeted marketing and sales lead lists.
• Collaborate with marketing to align research findings with campaign strategies.
• Monitor competitor activity and industry developments to inform strategic direction.
• Support marketing efforts with light use of digital platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, email marketing tools) for audience targeting, outreach, and brand visibility.
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to summarize key insights and metrics.
Qualifications
• 5–10 years of experience in a market research, marketing analytics, CRM management, or lead generation role.
• Strong CRM expertise – Salesforce and/or Copper CRM preferred.
• Proven ability to train and support team members on CRM/database systems and best practices.
• Solid understanding of digital marketing platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and how they can support research and outreach.
• Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze data from various sources and synthesize it into actionable insights.
• Industry experience or knowledge in facility management, janitorial, or property management sectors is a strong plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and database hygiene practices.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and other research and CRM tools.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
