    Our client, a leading organization in autonomous mobility, is seeking an AV Safety Data Engineer to join their team. As an AV Safety Data Engineer, you will be part of the Safety Strategy & Operations department supporting safety processes, data analysis, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** AV Safety Data Engineer

    **Location:** Foster City, CA

    **Pay Range:** $100/hour

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Develop and maintain miners that identify safety-critical events from fleet and simulation data.

    + Enhance the accuracy and efficiency of data miners using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.

    + Build scalable data pipelines and dashboards to monitor safety signals and key safety metrics.

    + Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, failure modes, and opportunities for vehicle behavior improvements.

    + Assess and triage AV events, including system behavior and hardware anomalies, for safety, legal, and regulatory considerations.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Masters Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering fields.

    + 6-8 years of experience working with safety-critical systems in autonomous vehicles, automotive, or transportation engineering industries.

    + Proficiency in Python and SQL programming languages.

    + Experience with large datasets and distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.

    + Strong data engineering skills, including building maintainable and scalable data pipelines.
