    LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Technology Services - Campus Tech

     

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:12-Month Position; Full-Time

     

    STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible

     

    SALARY RANGE: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour

     

    *Actual Salary is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

    DUTIES:

    1. Performs the more difficult and complex clerical tasks;

    2. Schedules, coordinates, and monitors workflow within the department as well as with other departments throughout the district;

    3. Conducts correspondence on matters in which policies and procedures are well defined in regard to technology within the district;

    4. Responds to requests from other departments regarding policies, procedures, and pertinent laws (e.g. Education Law 2d);

    5. Assists in the collection, preparation, and review of departmental data (e.g. Help Desk tickets, inventory, etc.);

    6. Assists in hardware, software, and web-based subscription ordering, tracking, deployment, invoicing, and retirement across the district;

    7. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory records (hardware and software) across the district;

    8. Strong knowledge of Microsoft resources and WinCap Financial preferred;

    9. Strong communication skills;

    10. Other duties as requested by the supervisor.

     

    FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Thorough knowledge of office practices, procedures, equipment and terminology; thorough knowledge of business arithmetic and English; ability to plan, assign and supervise the work of clerical assistants; ability to follow complex oral and written directions; ability to readily acquire familiarity with departmental organization, functions, laws, policies and regulations; ability to prepare correspondence and reports; ability to deal effectively with other employees and with the public; ability to operate a variety of office machines; good judgment in solving relatively complex clerical problems; initiative; integrity; tact and courtesy; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Civil Service eligibility forClerk I: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus either:

     

    (A) Four (4) years of paid full-time or its part-time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; OR,

     

    (B) An associate degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience as described in (A) above; OR,

     

    (C) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

    NOTES:

    * Successful completion of one (1) year of college coursework (or 30 semester credit hours) from a New York State registered or regionally accredited college or university may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.

    * Experience as a Teller, Cashier or Salesclerk shall not be considered office clerical experience. 2. Strong interpersonal skills greeting visitors and callers, and in interactions with students and staff members.

    2. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

    3. Excellent communication skills.

    4. Excellent phone and interpersonal skills.

    5. Ability to work independently, as well as, part of a team.

    6. Ability to handle confidential material appropriately.

    7. School office experience preferred.

    8. Experience with Special Education Procedures Preferred.

    9. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
