    What´s the role?

     

    As **Senior Manager, People Business Partner,** you’ll partner directly with senior leadership to align people priorities with business goals, fuel cultural transformation, and strengthen leadership at every level. This is a high-impact, strategic role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business and people — blending vision with hands-on execution during a pivotal period of business evolution and growth.

     

    How can you add value?

    Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

    + Be a **trusted strategist** to senior leaders, advising on workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership effectiveness.

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with vital team members to proactively identify and address current and future people-related needs.

    + Anticipate the people implications of business shifts and implement change strategies that protect performance and engagement.

    Talent & Performance Management

    + Drive talent strategies including leadership planning, performance cycles, and development initiatives to retain and grow top talent.

    + Mentor and build leadership capability within assigned functions to proactively address organizational challenges.

    + Collaborate with the People VP on performance, conduct, and employee relations matters to ensure alignment with company policies.

    Culture, Engagement & Inclusion

    + Shape culture and engagement by translating insights from listening tools into initiatives that develop accountability, connection, and inclusion.

    + Conduct exit interviews and share findings to inform retention and engagement strategies.

    Data-Driven Decision Making

    + Use analytics on engagement, attrition, and capability to identify risks, inform decisions, and unlock opportunities.

    + Develop HR solutions by collecting and interpreting data, recommending actionable strategies.

    Operational Excellence & Requirements

    + Implement HR programs including staffing, onboarding, compensation, benefits, training, records management, and safety.

    + Guarantee adherence to employment laws across multiple jurisdictions (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.).

    + Conduct internal investigations and maintain thorough documentation in collaboration with Legal and management.

    + Audit and ensure proper documentation for licenses, incidents, OSHA forms, and legal postings.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    + Partner across People COEs (Centers of Excellence) including rewards, talent management, talent acquisition, and learning to deliver integrated, business-aligned solutions.

    + Share standard methodologies and continuous improvement strategies across the client group.

    Project & Case Management

    + Lead and support HR projects involving research, process design, reporting, and documentation.

    + Represent the organization in personnel-related hearings and investigations.

    + Lead HR transactions including status changes, incident reports, terminations, and layoffs.

    + Demonstrate and guarantee adherence to the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Puerto Rico policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

    + Other functions may be assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Directly supervise and provide mentorship a group of employees in the People Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Liberty policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and advising work; appraising performance; exciting and focusing employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

     

    What do you need?

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources. Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent

     

    6-9 years of experience in human resources department.

     

    PHR, SHRM-CP Certification is a plus.

    Other Qualifications:

    + Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).

    + Working knowledge of HR administrative requirements pertaining to OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, EEO, ADA, Unemployment, and Workers' Compensation.

    + Familiarity of federal, state, and local laws and regulations that impact human resources and the employment relationship.

    + Ability to properly maintain confidential or sensitive information.

    + Ability to lead several projects and tasks simultaneously.

    + Solid problem-solving and discernment skills.

    + Ability to organize and direct a project to completion utilizing given tools, resources, and deadlines.

    + Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff, including executives.

    + High level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet (Excel), and presentation applications.

    + Excellent analytical skills, resourcefulness, and strong organization skills.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
