Description We are looking for a skilled and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and optimize payroll operations within our healthcare organization in Lancaster, California. This role requires an individual capable of ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processes while contributing to financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of payroll systems and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all payroll processes, including accurate preparation and timely submission of payroll reports, tax deposits, and benefits data.

• Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure payroll practices align with organizational policies and compliance standards.

• Develop and implement labor productivity reporting tools to assist hospital departments in measuring efficiency and effectiveness.

• Assist in creating consistent data reporting processes by supporting the development and maintenance of system interfaces.

• Coordinate wage and benefit journal entries with Accounting Management to facilitate timely monthly financial statement closures.

• Manage and maintain payroll systems, ensuring accurate account analysis and seamless day-to-day operations.

• Prepare detailed financial reports and cost trend analyses for senior management presentations.

• Provide training programs to enhance payroll processing and reporting capabilities across the organization.

• Work closely with the Controller to support wage and benefit budget development, forecasting, and analysis.

• Supervise payroll staff, including conducting performance evaluations, hiring, and providing training and development opportunities. Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience managing full-cycle payroll operations.

• Proficiency in handling multi-state payroll processes and compliance.

• Expertise in payroll systems such UKG Pro/Kronos.

• Experience managing payroll for over 1500 employees+, including unionized staff.

• Strong knowledge of bi-monthly payroll procedures and payroll tax regulations.

• Ability to produce detailed financial analysis and reporting.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
