Description

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract / contact to hire basis in Fletcher, North Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in financial processes and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling core accounting functions and managing financial records with precision.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.

• Prepare and record journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial data.

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring timely and precise entries.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by compiling and reviewing financial information.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve accounting-related issues.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting activities.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies.

• Familiarity with accounting principles and standards.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
