    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    **Shift** : Multiple options

    + 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 5:30 AM - 2 PM

    + 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2 PM - 10:30 PM (Note: if interested in a 2nd shift 4-day schedule, it can be Monday - Thursday 2 PM - 12:30 AM)

    + Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday, 5 AM - 5:30 PM, three 12-hour workdays, paid 40 hours/week

    Job Description

    The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery, including both lathes and mills, with minimal supervision. The role requires the ability to perform complex setups, tool changes, programming edits, and verification through inspection methods. The machinist will generate CNC programs using CAM programming software and must possess a thorough understanding of cutting feeds, speeds, and tool applications. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in accordance with the 5S methodology is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.

    + Perform simple to complex setups and tool changes, including inserts, drills, and mills.

    + Conduct programming edits and verify changes through inspection methods.

    + Generate CNC programs using available CAM programming software.

    + Maintain cleanliness and safety in all production areas by adhering to 5S standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery.

    + Experience with CAM programming and CAD software.

    + Knowledge of MasterCAM software.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions in English.

    + Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

    + Understanding of G Codes and machine setup.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + 3-5 years of experience for Level 2 CNC, 5+ years for Level 3 CNC.

    + Experience in writing CNC programs in a machining environment.

    + Aerospace experience is preferred.

    + Strong mathematical skills for calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
