Job Title: Quality Engineer 9/80 work week! (off every other Friday!)
Job Description
Serve as a key liaison between cross-functional teams, making independent decisions to support quality and reliability standards. Act as the primary point of contact for Program Teams on all Product Assurance activities. Monitor program budgets and define work scope for team members. Contribute to proposal development for new projects and clearly communicate proposal requirements to the team. Assist in developing and refining quality procedures, maintain monthly program status reports, and support the establishment of metrics for performance tracking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Mechanical) from a four-year college or university.
+ 2 - 5 years of related experience.
Responsibilities
+ Serve as the single point of contact for Program Teams regarding all Product Assurance Elements.
+ Track program budgets, providing work scope and budget for assigned team members.
+ Support proposals for new jobs and inform team members of proposal requirements.
+ Provide Program Quality requirements for all team members.
+ Develop and implement quality procedures.
+ Establish and maintain data collection for metrics reporting, analyzing results for adverse trends.
+ Prepare and present status reports for management and customers.
+ Generate and track responses to internal and supplier Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
+ Establish and maintain an effective monitoring program using PC-based tools.
+ Perform detailed contract reviews to determine quality assurance requirements.
+ Communicate effectively with personnel at various levels for technical and management issues.
+ Occasional travel requiring overnight stays may be required.

Work Environment
Work primarily on the manufacturing floor, equipped with benches and various areas, including testing chambers for troubleshooting and repairing products. Collaborate with a lead and supervisor in a supportive environment willing to provide training. Operate on a 9/80 work schedule with a bi-weekly pay cycle. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
