    The QO Lab Analyst position involves working effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory environment to analyze raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, APIs, utilities, and/or finished product samples in support of the company's quality program in the laboratory.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform, document, record checks, and troubleshoot qualitative or quantitative assays on samples using both standard laboratory equipment and modern automated instrumentation.

    + Participate in manufacturing QC support such as cleaning verification.

    + Interpret and evaluate data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

    + Maintain high productivity with the ability to multi-task while ensuring a low error rate and attention to detail.

    + Demonstrate flexibility and engagement in a changing environment.

    + Display good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentification of samples.

    + Comprehend and perform both routine and non-routine analyses from compendial and internal sources.

    + May train others as skills and knowledge allow.

    + Participate in laboratory investigations as required.

    + May be responsible for writing routine assay protocols or conducting assay, process, or instrument qualifications.

    + Quickly learn new skills and techniques.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in chemistry, quality control, and laboratory techniques.

    + Experience with liquid chromatography and analytical chemistry.

    + Proficiency in at least one high complexity technology (e.g., HPLC, uHPLC, GC, advanced spectroscopy) or at least two or more low to medium complexity technologies (e.g., TLC, titrations, wet chemistry/physical testing, water testing).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.

    + Minimum of 2 years related experience in Quality Operations is preferred.

    + Candidate must not be Cephalosporin/Penicillin sensitive.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This is a lab-based role involving occasional lifting (less than 35 lbs), reaching, and sitting while working at a computer terminal.

    This is a Contract position based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
