Job Title: Process Engineer
Job Description
As a Process Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Continuous Improvement methods and tools to effectively identify, prioritize, and eliminate factory losses. You will work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve these objectives.
Responsibilities
+ Demonstrate strong troubleshooting capabilities with process and packing equipment.
+ Improve waste and performance metrics for two or more production lines.
+ Ensure the stability of the production line to support the transition from traditional line teams to a semi-autonomous team.
+ Prioritize projects through data stratification of factory downtime and waste data.
+ Identify growth and savings opportunities within the factory and develop business cases around them.
+ Manage small projects from ideation through implementation.
+ Collaborate closely with operators and the maintenance team during continuous improvement activities and act as a technical trainer when needed.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience in process improvement and waste reduction.
+ Project management skills, particularly within a consumer product manufacturing environment.
+ Strong capabilities in troubleshooting packaging and food manufacturing processes.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3-5 years of experience in Packaging Project Management or Continuous Improvement.
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
+ Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
Work Environment
This position is based on-site, both in an office setting and on the manufacturing floor within a food manufacturing environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Independence, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $62.00/hr.
