Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
+ We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
+ The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, particularly within the automotive sector, and a commitment to continuous improvement and safety
Job Responsibilities
+ Supervise, lead, coach, and direct team leaders and labor to meet production volume, cost, and quality standards while adhering to production schedules and delivery dates
+ Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports
+ Plan headcount for absences, holidays, training, and workshops
+ Complete daily attendance registers and ADP data entry, including approving employee time and updating schedules
+ Conduct standardized work audits and ensure adherence to Standardized Work within the team
+ Collaborate with Team Leaders to schedule operator rotations
+ Liaise with support functions to resolve build issues and prevent recurrence
+ Oversee rework when necessary and manage the closure of line QRCIs, coaching team leaders to resolve issues independently
+ Ensure team members respect the principles of 7 Quality Basics
+ Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, 5S, and good housekeeping practices
+ Encourage and follow up on improvement ideas, liaising with support functions when necessary
+ Promote a safe work environment and conduct disciplinary, return-to-work, and performance evaluation interviews
+ Validate operator polyvalence levels and set targets weekly
+ Assist with additional tasks as assigned
Essential Skills
+ Experience in production supervision within the automotive industry
+ Knowledge of union environments, specifically UAW
+ Proficiency in safety and continuous improvement methodologies
+ Strong understanding of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Process Improvement
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
