    Job Description

    The role of the Material Handler involves delivering materials to designated work centers, pulling carts for truck builds, and returning parts from carts to inventory. This position requires handling medium to heavy weights and operating equipment such as fork trucks and hand trucks in the receiving area. Additional responsibilities include assisting in shipping, warehouse, or storage locations, scheduling LTL shipments for outbound materials, managing outgoing UPS shipments, and performing backup duties for all shipping activities. The role also involves processing rejected materials through IRM procedures and assisting with annual physical inventory.

    Responsibilities

    + Deliver materials to appropriate work centers, departments, or personnel.

    + Pull carts prior to truck build and return parts from carts to inventory.

    + Process yellow tags and resolve inventory discrepancies.

    + Operate forklift, hand trucks, and other receiving area equipment.

    + Assist in shipping, warehouse, or storage locations as required.

    + Schedule LTL shipments for outbound materials and manage outgoing UPS shipments.

    + Answer flags on the shop floor and perform backup duties for shipping activities.

    + Process rejected materials through IRM procedures and assist with annual physical inventory.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player.

    + Maintain an orderly appearance in the area through the 5-S system.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment involves handling weights up to 50 lbs and requires bending, lifting, and standing. The role demands the operation of forklifts and hand carts, ensuring a dynamic and active workplace.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fulton, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
