Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves collaborating with the Project Manager and Project Administrator to support new construction projects, specifically focusing on $50+ million wastewater treatment plant retrofits or expansions.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in estimating change orders.
+ Prepare and review submittals.
+ Assist in monitoring labor hours and material costs.
+ Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment and materials.
+ Assist with billing applications, progress reports, scheduling, change order logs, follow-up on pending changes, and monitoring accounts receivable.
+ Assist in the review of contract drawings, detail drawings, and specifications.
Essential Skills
+ 1 year of construction management experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
+ Advanced organizational, time management, and communication skills.
+ Strong work ethic and results-driven attitude.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with P6 software is a plus.
+ Prefer experience in treatment plant or mechanical environments.
+ Local candidates preferred.
Work Environment
The Assistant Project Manager will spend the majority of their time in the office, with some time allocated to conducting walk-throughs of the building and working at the construction trailer on larger projects. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an option to work through lunch from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The work attire includes jeans and a polo. The team environment is supportive, with opportunities for career growth and development. Overtime is compensated at 1.5 times the regular rate, although it is not commonly required.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.
