    Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

     

    The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing expert judgment and analysis for the design, development, and implementation of technical products and systems. This role involves resolving highly complex technical issues and conducting advanced research. The candidate will design products and systems which require the expert application of engineering knowledge. In addition, the candidate will generate electrical engineering documentation, including single line diagrams, panel layouts, electrical schematics, load lists, I/O and alarm lists, and P&IDs, among other critical documents necessary for the fabrication of control and power panels.

    Responsibilities

    + Translate system processes into electrical systems that meet process and functional requirements according to standard design or specification-driven projects.

    + Prepare, review, and approve drawings, models, sketches, equipment lists, Bills of Material, manufacturing work instructions, standard operating practices, and verbal instructions.

    + Plan and self-monitor daily engineering and design work assignments.

    + Control and monitor schedules to meet completion dates, customer technical specifications, and internal technical specifications.

    + Develop and use engineering standards (electrical, mechanical, etc.), procedures, and forms for engineering design and production fabrications.

    + Write and administer work instructions.

    + Provide engineering advice and counsel to engineers, Project Managers, Application Engineers, and Customer Service personnel as needed.

    + Represent the company in outside customer discussions and technical reviews.

    + Originate and apply new engineering methods and procedures to lower costs and improve quality.

    + Provide technical support for proposals, job estimates, and new product development.

    + Understand and adhere to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.

    Essential Skills

    + 7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.

    + Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.

    + Programming and Control application programs.

    + Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Preferred experience in Water Treatment Industry, UV Systems, SAP experience, Field Experience, SCADA Integration Experience, Design, UV Systems, SAP, SCADA, PLC programming, HMI programming.

    Work Environment

    The candidate will work in an office environment 70% of the day and 30% in the shop. They will be a direct partner of the Electrical Engineering manager and have the opportunity to help lead a team of 2 Electrical Engineers.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sugar Land, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $63.00/hr.
