    Job Title: Packaging Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Packaging Engineer for a one-year contract assignment, with the potential for a permanent position. The role involves working on a significant project related to the packaging of military vehicles. You will collaborate with the packaging engineer to design packaging assemblies and parts, and validate designs through hands-on testing.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with the packaging engineer to design packaging assemblies and parts.

    + Design packaging around parts sent by the customer.

    + Work hands-on in the testing area to validate packaging designs.

    + Utilize design software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

    + Conduct tests using power and hand tools, including nail guns.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on testing experience.

    + Ability to use power and hand tools effectively.

    + Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Excel.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design or Drafting.

    + Experience as a Mechanical Designer or Engineer.

    Work Environment

    The role is primarily based in a test lab located in the back of the building, designed to resemble a manufacturing shop floor. It includes dedicated areas for conducting various drop tests on packages. You will work closely with a small team, including the packaging engineer or engineering manager. The dress code is business casual.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
